Who is this for?

It's ideal for ...

  • Parents & Grandparents

You worry they aren't challenged enough and want them to learn real problem-solving skills.

  • Busy Educators

You want high-quality learning and flexibility for whole class, small groups, enrichment, and early finishers.

  • Homeschools

You want a structured way to introduce problem-solving and don't have hours of prep time.

Just imagine...

  • …you have kids that approach challenge with confidence instead of giving up or waiting for help.

  • ...you have engaging activities kids WANT to do that build real thinking skills.

  • ...you teach this without having to be an expert. No frustration, confusion, or endless prep!

🤩 Even better, kids slow down and begin to think in logical steps.

They'll face new challenges with curiosity and effort.

🤩 They'll say things like "I know what to try next" or "I can figure this out."

They develop patience and strategies for when the answer isn't easy.

🤩 They'll learn new skills to apply to solving real problems.

Kids feel capable, not just smart.

All that is possible when you teach puzzling skills with Logic Launchpad.

Logic Dots: Color Grids requires no reading skills. If your student can hold a crayon and knows four colors (red, blue, green, and yellow) then they're ready, and this course is the perfect place to start.

What's Inside Logic Dots?

Module 1: Quick Start for Adults

The five minute Quick Start Video for Grown-Ups tells you everything you need to know. Find some crayons, print or draw a handout, and get going! When you want, learn more with The Educator & Parent Playbook. It's your expert guide to why logic matters, how it contributes to lifelong success, and how to confidently support kids as they learn.

Module 2: Essential Skills

Understanding Grids & Making Deductions

Students will understand grids and how they help organize information, learn how to mark a grid with a definite answer, and use process of elimination to solve their first puzzle.

Module 3: Structured Thinking

Following Rules & Making Logical Connections

Now that kids understand how grids work, it’s time to add structure! This lesson introduces rules and relationships using slightly larger 2x4 grids. Students will learn about rows and placement rules, practice if/then reasoning, and develop the habit of checking their work.

Module 4: Problem-Solving Play

Introducing Columns and 4x4 Grids

This lesson builds on, moving from 2x4 to 4x4 grids. Students will learn about columns, solve 4x4 grid puzzles using single-step deductions, and check their work against the original set of conditions.

Module 5: Multi-Step Deductions

Increasing Puzzle Complexity

In these final lessons, students stretch their problem-solving muscles even further. They’ll solve 4x4 puzzles that require multi-step deductions, learn how to find a smart starting point, and apply classic Sudoku-style reasoning. This module includes two sets of Focused Practice Puzzles for independent work and two Solve-It-Together Walkthrough Videos that support learning and reinforce process. By the end, students are doing real Sudoku puzzles (small ones). With the skills they've learned, they can try beginner puzzles from other publishers, too.

Why I created Logic Launchpad...

Kids thrive when we teach them HOW to think.

I've seen the benefits of structured logic instruction:

  • kids feel in charge of being "smart"
  • they work with a sense of ownership
  • they build positive self-esteem

Parents and educators need ways to teach these skills with activities that kids WANT to do. Without frustration, busywork, or endless prep.

Got Questions? I've Got Answers!

  • 1. What age group is Logic Dots designed for?

Logic Dots is most commonly used with ages 4-6. Some three-year-olds also love the challenge. Older kids (7-8) who are new to logic enjoy it, though they move through it more quickly. The course is designed to be flexible and engaging, allowing kids to build problem-solving skills at their own pace.

  • 2. Does a child have to be able to read for this course?

No, no reading skills are required. Logic Dots is designed to be accessible for early learners. The course uses colors and visual grids. If a child can recognize four colors (red, yellow, blue, and green) and count to four, they’re ready to get started.

  • 3. How much time does this course take each day?

Lessons can be completed in as little as 5-10 minutes a day, making it easy to fit into any schedule. The puzzles and activities are designed to be short, fun, and effective. Flexible, paper-based practice activities support independent, separate work time if desired.

  • 4. Will this course work for kids who struggle with focus or frustration?

Yes! The lessons are bite-sized and engaging with very clear, step-by-step instruction. There are also hands-on pages for actively following along. This helps kids build confidence and avoid feeling overwhelmed.

  • 5. Can I use this in a classroom or homeschool setting?

Yes. Logic Dots is perfect for parents, educators, homeschoolers, and grandparents who want a simple, structured way to teach logic. It works well as a whole class lesson, standalone enrichment activity, a warm-up exercise, or an independent learning tool.

  • 6. Does this require a lot of prep work from me?

Not at all. Everything is laid out step by step, with video lessons, printable practice pages, and guided walkthroughs that make teaching logic easy and stress-free.

  • 7. Will my child be able to do this independently?

Yes, for the most part. Kids will need help accessing the video and gathering their materials (crayons and printing a page or two). Logic Dots gives kids clear instructions and reminders as they go. While younger kids may need some initial guidance, many are able to work through the videos and puzzles on their own. With the exception of the Quick Start Video for Grown Ups, all the instructional videos speak directly to the students.

  • 8. Is this just for gifted kids?

No. While puzzling is a favorite activity for gifted and bright students because it offers rigor and challenge for kids who crave more, these puzzles and lessons have broad appeal to most learners. Logic Dots is designed for any child who can benefit from building problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • 9. What if my child finds it too easy or too hard?

Logic Dots is designed with progressive difficulty, meaning kids start simple and build up to more advanced challenges. If it’s too easy, they’ll move through it quickly and be ready for the next step. If it’s too hard, you can pause, repeat, and practice at their own pace.
